Overview

Virtual Private Networking (VPN) software creates a secure, encrypted connection between your off-campus computer and the campus network. Affiliates of InCHIP can use VPN software to connect securely to the campus network from off-campus. This software, called Junos Pulse, must be downloaded to your computer, installed and configured. To connect using the full VPN client, download it below, install and configure it as directed.

Junos Pulse Install Instructions for Mac OS X. Requires OS x 10.6.8 or newer. This document is updated periodically. If the document at the link below is. Pulse Secure (you may also see it referred to as Junos Pulse) is the latest client for connecting to the SSL-VPN from a Windows or Mac. General instructions for configuring the client for either operating system are below. Download and install the Pulse Secure/Junos Pulse application found under the VPN section of the OIT Software Download Site.

Pulse Secure for iOS enables secure connectivity over SSL VPN to corporate applications and data from anywhere, at any time. Using Pulse Secure, you can connect securely to your corporate Pulse Secure SA Series SSL VPN gateway and gain instant access to business applications and networked data from wherever you are. Hello, I am at wits end here. Does anyone know which version of Pulse Secure works with the macOS High Sierra? I have tried several 5.x and 9.x, but none of it works. My SRX550 is using OS 12.44 or something to this effect. Just need a working version of of Pulse.

2. Install Client

Double click on the download and then the package icon
Click “Continue”
Click “Install”
You will be prompted for user credentials. This would be the user name and password with the ability to install software on this Mac. If you are unsure please contact InCHIP IT
Click “Close”

3. Configure Client

Click on the Junos icon on the title bar and then click “Open Junos Pulse”
Click on the “+” symbol at the bottom of the window
Enter in the values shown below and click “Add”
Close the window.
Click on the Junos Client icon on the title bar and mouse over “CHIP VPN” and select “Connect”
You will be prompted to enter your InCHIP ID [usually First Initial, Last Name] and password. To save this step in the future you may select “Save Settings”. To have increased security, do not check “Save settings” and you will be prompted each time you connect.
To disconnect from the VPN, click on the Junos Client icon on the title bar and mouse over “CHIP VPN” and select “Disconnect”

I had some Apple Keychain issues after upgrading to Mac OS X El Capitan yesterday. Apple provided a reasonable resolution (blow away the login Apple Keychain and re-create it). As it turns out, my issues weren’t limited to just the El Capitan upgrade. The Juniper Networks’ VPN client, Junos Pulse, has some pretty awful issues.

The behavior went something like this:1. Save a password for a VPN connection in Junos Pulse VPN client2. The first use of the VPN connection will be fine3. Disconnect VPN connection4. Close Junos Pulse VPN client5. Open VPN client6. Attempt to connect to recently created VPN (with saved password)

All hell breaks loose; Apple Keychain issues galore. Literally every Apple Keychain becomes unusable to some extent and a reboot is required to resolve the issue.

The workaround is to not save passwords in the Junos Pulse client (even in the supposedly El Capitan supported version of Junos Pulse; thank you commenter JJ Duru).

Hopefully this bug gets fixed very soon.
